Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Assessments & Treatments
Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) is the world’s leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing. TPI certified professionals have worked with thousands of golfers ranging from the top Tour professionals to the weekend enthusiasts. Using this experience, TPI has discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI certified experts analyze how a player’s physical limitations can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury. Dr. Riley is a certified TPI professional and a sports-based chiropractor at Pro Motion Calgary. Currently, he is offering both TPI initial assessments and subsequent visits to help golfers interested in improving their body mechanics and golf game.
TPI Initial Assessments: Dr. Riley will take a full golf history, including discussion of common tendencies in your game and your goals in relation to treatment. A 12-point physical screen will then be performed with the golfer to identify any possible physical limitations they may exhibit which could be impacting the golf swing. From there, an individualized treatment plan will be created for the golfer made up of specific exercises geared toward helping the golfer overcome any physical limitations.
TPI Subsequent Visits: These appointments are meant for the golfer to come back in and get re-assessed to see if they are progressing. These visits are slightly shorter and will again include the 12-point physical screen to compare their results. The treatment plan will then be tweaked to help the golfer continually progress.
