Running Gait Analysis
Our Running Gait Analysis
A gait analysis is an assessment that Lois offers to observe and evaluate how a person walks and runs. The goal is to identify any abnormalities in your walking or running pattern, which might show underlying problems such as pain, weakness, muscle imbalances, and more.
Gait analysis can be used to reduce injury risk, improve performance, and achieve a more efficient and comfortable running technique.
During the assessment you will be asked to run on the treadmill. Lois will be looking at various aspects of the gait cycle, which includes the stance phase, swing phase, symmetry, foot placement, and more. The physiotherapist will focus on things such as foot mechanics, knee function, pelvic movement, speed, and stride length.
